Joji- i dont wanna waste my time Song Review

0

By Joseph Rowan/LifeAtStart.com reporter

After signing with 88Rising, an Asian Hip-hop label, Joji has released his first single ‘i dont wanna waste my time’. In this new release Joji sings about someone who is cheating on their girlfriend, and this person doesn’t know if they should keep going on with this affair.

The song is Lo-Fi and slightly distorted sounding like all of his other songs, but this one has a different feeling to it. Joji’s voice is more clear and he isn’t singing high pitched. This really captures how he feels towards the situation he is in.

I like the sound of the song and it definitely is something I will listen to for a while, if I had to rate it I would give it a 9.7/10. If you have a different opinion let me know over email [email protected]

Communication is key

0

By Christopher Cook/ LifeAtStart.com reporter

Start High School is one of the many public schools in Toledo.

Start is bad at a lot of things, but the worst thing has got to be their communication with the student body. There have been multiple occasions that prove this, but the most recent one was prom.

I wanted to attend prom this year and had been listening in for a while to see when prom was and when to get tickets. My work requires a two week notice to request time off, and Start decided to tell us last week that prom is this Friday leaving me not enough time to request off.

This is my junior prom, one of the only two years I can attend. This upsets me because I don’t know if I will be able to go next year. I may be moving to a number of places limiting my ability to go to prom with all of my friends. Hopefully next year if I attend I can get more of an advanced notice so that I don’t miss my senior prom as well.

Hobbies

By Me’Lyea Burton/LifeAtStart.com reporter

Have you ever thought of what would happen if you turned one of your hobbies into a career? Why not get paid for doing what you love, right?

Growing up, I used writing for everything. I vented, I reminded myself of tasks, I wrote just because I loved it. I often thought of becoming a writer, but then I realized I wouldn’t enjoy it as much. Writing was something I used to escape from everything that was going on around me. When it became required for me to write, and a certain time to do so, I found myself losing interest in my craft. That’s when I realized hobbies should stay hobbies. Hobbies are things you use in your free time to relax or get away from the stress of your tasks. If my hobby then became one of my tasks, what would I do?

It’s important to do something you love, but I feel as if having a hobby you love is equally significant. It would be wonderful to have a balance between your salary and the enjoyment of your career, but it’s not likely. You need hobbies to bask in relaxation and let your hair down.

Features of Overwatch

By Dom  /LifeAtStart.com reporter

I figure if I’m gonna make Overwatch articles I should talk about some things that are in the game. While you play, sometimes characters interact with one another. The heroes communicate depending on the map you play on or the heroes you’re using, they can also interact when you eliminate an enemy depending on who it is.

Another great feature in Overwatch is it’s health packs scattered around the map. Let’s say you’re fighting someone and you’re far away from your team so you’re not getting healed, you can easily find a health pack in a distant location not too far from where you are, it’s almost guaranteed. Health packs can heal you depending on the size of it, they have small capsules and huge pack. The huge one can heal you from 1 to 350 and most heroes are only 200-250hp (no you cannot stack health in case you were wondering.) The smaller one can only heal about 100 but it respawns a lot faster than the huge one.

Once you play enough of the maps you’ll find secret locations all over that you can use to your advantage. I use these to execute plays, meaning to get something done so my team can move forward. This game encourages the “picks” and can easily determine the value of getting someone off guard.

The best way to get picks is to focus on a target you think is valuable, typically a healer or attacker. Taking this target down can allow for advances or benefits to the next fight. “Well why do you think that?” Think about it like this, once this person dies they will have to wait on the respawn timer, run all the way to the objective they are defending, and if your teams smart they’ll already have gotten good picks themselves.

Finally the best feelings in Overwatch, combining ultimates for huge values to move your team up or control an objective. Things like this are hard to pull off at first but once you do it feels so nice. You’re doing things right and results are coming in and your team is saying “good job” or “let’s push to the objective”. Things like this are really satisfying to the player and make them really team friendly.
