cy·ber·bul·ly·ing
The use of electronic communication to bully a person, typically by sending messages of an intimidating or threatening nature.
There are many forms of bullying, but the most common form of it is cyber. If you own a phone, tablet, or computer you are at risk of being a victim of being harassed online.
Here are some tips on what to do if you are in the presence of an online bully:
1. Tell a trusted adult about what is happening. Whether the bullying is happening to you, or someone else, an adult can help stop it.
2. Report the messages that are being sent. If you report the situation, the website may delete the bully from the page.
3. Block the bully. If you block the bully, they won’t be able to reach you.
4. Ignore them. What they are saying is not true and you shouldn’t let it get to you.
Always remember that you are not alone in your fight. If you are in a bullying situation, talk to someone.
