I recently purchased a game that was redone for the newest generation of consoles. You might ask “Why purchase a game that has already been released?” To answer this you would need to know the background of the game.
Skyrim is an open world action role-playing game developed by Bethesda. Skyrim is the fifth game in the Elder Scrolls series and to many it is one of the best. This game consists of your character completing the storyline as the dragonborn, allowing you to use dragon-like abilities to help you along the way. You are trying to find the explanation for the return of dragons and put an end to it.
The game sounds interesting as is so why rebuy it if you already have it? Besides the graphics being redone to look ten times better and the FPS (frames per second) being improved greatly there is one main reason I purchased this game again.
On the newest generation of Xbox, the Xbox One you have the ability to add mods, or modifications to your game. These mods can vary from adding more immersion to your game like the need to sleep, eat and drink in the iNeed mod. Or the need to keep warm or suffer from hypothermia with the Frostfall mod.
Besides immersion mods you can add new armors and weapons to the game as well as new people to accompany you on your journey.
There are also mods that can enhance the graphics even more or give you more character creation to go more in detail with the character you will be looking at for the rest of your game experience. All in all these mods add to the overall fun of the game and add hours upon hours of gameplay that the vanilla game was lacking.
I am glad I purchased this game again and recommend anyone out there to play this game even if it is your first time because it is tons of fun for even the seasoned veterans of the game.
