UGG boots

UGG boots are a unisex style of sheepskin boot originating in Australia and New Zealand. The most common boots, which are called “Classic”, are made of twin-faced sheepskin with fleece on the inside. There are all different kinds of UGGs. They also make purses, jackets, slippers, etc. All of the products feature leather and sheepskin.

The word UGG may have came from Fug boots that were worn by pilots in Australia during the first World War, but the origin of the word is unclear. This is interesting because you should know where your products come from.

They are worn by everyone including celebrities. I have three pairs of Ugg boots and I love them. I have light blue Bailey Bows, black Classic, and Adirondack in light brown. They are comfy, cute, and my favorite kind of boots. Although they are expensive, they are a good investment.

Smart phone benefits

The use of modern technology is the most popular way we communicate with each other on a daily basis. The most common being the modern-day smartphone. The smartphone is a very useful tool for everyday life and is almost a necessity in our modern world. These pieces of technology have many benefits and make our lives easier. I have had an iPhone for three years and I absolutely love it. There is so much I can do with this device that my old phone couldn’t do.

In the past, if I needed information on a topic for school I would have to go to the library or wait until I got home to use my computer. This was very frustrating because it was often difficult to find reliable information in a timely manner. However, with my iPhone I can quickly look up anything with a few taps of the screen. Having a smartphone is like carrying around an encyclopedia that fits in your back pocket.

My smartphone makes it a lot easier to be connected with my friends. In the past the only way I could talk to someone was to call them and most of the time, people were too busy to answer. Now I am able to contact them using social media on my iPhone such as Facebook, Snapchat, Instagram, and Twitter. On top of being closer to my friends, these apps help to inform me of events going on within my school, something my old phone could never do.

One of the most useful features of my phone is the GPS system. I am able to go anywhere I want without the fear of getting lost. In the past I was scared to leave my neighborhood because I felt I would never make it home. In fact, when I was younger I used to get lost when I rode my bike. Now I can go where ever I want and always know my exact location. While my old phone did have a GPS, it was very crude and unreliable.

There are several other things that smartphones can do, but these are my personal favorites. I know most of the people reading this own a smartphone. However, if you’re one of the few who don’t, I would highly recommend investing in one. You’ll wonder how you lived without one.

Trappist 1

In February of 2017 NASA announced that they discovered a new star system called Trappist 1. There were seven new planets found in this star system. Four of them are Earth like and three are habitable.

The problem is these seven planets are 39 light years away, and the fastest space shuttle we have would take 750,000 years to get there. With it being so far away, the possible of us inhabiting these planets is near impossible. Earth is dying slowly but surely, so we might need these planets as another option.

The universe has always been very interesting to me because there’s so much we don’t. There could be hundreds of other universes but we don’t know for sure because there’s only so much you can see threw a telescope.

Young love

As a high school student, how many times are we told that our current relationship won’t be our last? Or that it’s just young, puppy love that we’re experiencing? In many cases this may be true, but there are a select few couples that get lucky.

According to multiple marriage websites, the statistics for high school sweethearts has dramatically declined in recent years. However, that doesn’t mean that they have become completely extinct. In fact, many people in my life are high school sweethearts, including my grandparents, my boyfriend’s parents, and my cousin and her husband. After looking at multiple websites and talking to people, I came up with some questions that are frequently asked.

Aren’t you afraid of not experiencing your young adult life?

Multiple couples told me that this didn’t bother them whatsoever. They told me that they felt better having someone special to share all life’s events with; they said it was nice to have someone to always talk to, to laugh with, and even cry with when things aren’t always going right.

Don’t you feel tied down? What if you want experience new things?

Again, the answer was no. My cousin said, “Anything that I could possibly want to try I’d want him right there with me. And if it’s something I wouldn’t want him to be there for, well then I probably shouldn’t be doing it to begin with.” As for the tied down factor, doesn’t that apply with any relationship? You’re your own person at the end of the day; you should always practice autonomy.

Won’t your significant other hold you back from your dreams?

This was a hard question for some of the couples I spoke to. Many said that maybe it is slightly true. There are statistics that say in many cases one person in a relationship didn’t go to college in fear of abandoning their significant other. This reign trues with many of the couples I interviewed. On the other hand, the other half of people said that the goals that they dream of doing included their significant other and they’d want them there to cheer them on.

Doesn’t young love usually equal young parenthood? And won’t a kid be the only thing holding you guys together?

This question only applied to one of the couples I spoke to. My boyfriend’s parents had him at 16 and 17 years old, but are still married. They have even gotten their vows renewed in the past few years. If anything, having a child together has brought them closer to each other and expanded their love. They could have stopped at one kid but they ended up having two more; that has to count for something. Although they wouldn’t advise having a kid at a young age.

After hearing all of these responses, my opinions were confirmed. It is possible that some high school sweethearts can make it. Despite people’s negative outlook on young love, not all high school relationships are doomed.
