Drug addiction is not a disease it’s a choice. It is a choice that ruins lives, families, trust and relationships. Drug addiction will change a person you know into someone you wish you never met. You will watch someone who was once loving, caring, and passionate turn into someone who is hateful, disregards everything important, and has no life goals other than getting their next high.
Drug addiction will rip and tear the person to pieces. You will watch the drug user literally wither away to nothing. They are killing themselves.
They will do anything to get their dose. They will lie, steal, and manipulate people. Their morals completely change to the opposite of what they once were before they picked up the drug of their choice. They are no longer the same person.
