There are many positives and negatives to having a big family. I have seven siblings so I would know. Everyone either hates each other or loves each other, there’s no in between.
When you live with a family as big as mine, no one ever gets their own room. We always argue over whose clothes are whose, even though I’m six times their size. There’s always a fight over who’s going to do the dishes, that usually turns into screaming or hair pulling. Someone always has to sit on the floor because people don’t make couches big enough for my family. No matter what we always fight over who’s the favorite kid even though parents say “they don’t have a favorite.”
Sometimes I think about being an only child, but then I think about how boring my life would be. At the end of the day, I always have somebody to do my chores when I don’t feel like it. I always have someone to brush my hair when I don’t feel like it. Having so many siblings allows me to always have somebody hang out with. At the end of the day I have forever best friends.
Family is forever. I would never trade my siblings for the world.
